Deputy Minister of National Unity Oleksiy Lukashuk, together with his son, received 1000 hryvnias "Equation", despite the fact that his income was only UAH 7.8 million in 2024.
Who is Lukashuk?
Prior to his appointment to the government, Oleksiy Lukashuk worked at the National Joint Stock Company of Naftogaz of Ukraine. His official salary for 2024 amounted to UAH 7.8 million, which is equivalent to over UAH 650 thousand a month.
His wife Maria Sehina works at KPMG-Ukraine LLC and is engaged in business. However, she refused to disclose her income.
How did he get 1000 UAH?
According to the Declaration, Lukashuk and his son Timur used the state program "Equation" and received 1000 UAH. This program was introduced to support citizens during the Covid-19 pandemic and had to stimulate costs for certain categories of goods and services.
The fact of receiving the "support" by a millionaire caused public outrage, because the main idea of the program was to support the population, not high -ranking officials with multimillion -dollar wealth.
What's next?
Although Lukashuk did not formally violate the law, the case once again raises the issue of ethics of use of state programs with high income officials. Whether the official reaction of the authorities will be time.
