The State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) reported on the transfer to the state budget of 104 million hryvnias, seized from a deputy of the Rivne Regional Council as part of the investigation into the case of illegal enrichment. These funds were confiscated during the investigation, which revealed numerous irregularities in the elected official's financial activities.

As reported, the SBI has implemented the decision of the High Anti-Corruption Court in the case of illegal enrichment of a deputy of the Rivne Regional Council.
In November 2023, SBI investigators discovered millions of dollars worth of undeclared assets from the MP, who was also the deputy head of the Polissky Forestry Office of the Forests of Ukraine.
As part of the open criminal proceedings, the law enforcement officers searched the residence and workplace of the deputy and his family members. At that time, more than 4 million US dollars in various currencies were withdrawn only in cash.
Law enforcement officers also found three luxury cars "AUDI Q8", "MERCEDES-BENZ GLE 350E", "BMW X5", jewelry and expensive watches, including the luxury brand Раtek philippe. In addition, they discovered gold coins, gold bars, 2 pistols, a Kalashnikov assault rifle with 16 magazines for it with cartridges.
As reported, the deputy also owned four plots of land in Rivne, on which he built cottages. Plots are registered to registered persons, the SBI said.
The deputy was informed of the suspicion and taken into custody. Prosecutors of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office entered into a plea agreement with the suspect in early May 2024.
Already on May 29, the High Anti-Corruption Court approved this agreement and determined the punishment in the form of 5 years of imprisonment with probation for 3 years and determined the amount of funds subject to special confiscation: 1,340,087.97 dollars. USA, 1,034,615 euros and 1,561,800 hryvnias, which at the rate of the National Bank is 104 million 311 thousand 474 hryvnias.
