Employees of the State Bureau of Investigation together with the Department of Internal Security of the National Police exposed a huge composition of weapons in the residential area of the capital. The arsenal was hidden in one of the garages in the Desnyanskiy district of Kiev.
According to the investigation, there are more than 35 thousand ammunition, six grenade launchers, six drones, 130 grenades, 90 fire shots, as well as vending machines, sniper rifles, pistols, remote control detonators, anti -duty mines, observation devices and other means of damage.
Who stands behind the repository
The owners of this military arsenal were a man who works in a law enforcement agencies and his father. Both were detained, they were already informed of suspicion.
Investigators establish where so many weapons and ammunition come from, as well as for what purpose they were stored. The location of the storage - in the heart of the metropolis - is of particular concern to security forces.
What responsibility is waiting for suspects
Criminal proceedings were opened against men under Part 1 of Art. 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - illegal handling of weapons, combat supplies or explosives. The sanction of the article provides for imprisonment for up to seven years.
The case was taken to control investigators of the DBR. Examination and finding possible accomplices are currently underway.
