Ukrainian rural households affected by Russian aggression can receive financial support from the Estonian Refugee Council (ERC). According to the organization's press service, the program provides payments of up to UAH 26.6 thousand for the purchase of goods and services necessary for wintering livestock and poultry.
The application deadline is November 23, so applicants should have time to fill out the online form on the official ERC website.
What does the program entail?
The aim of the initiative is to support rural families affected by the war and in need of assistance to meet basic household needs. Funding will be used exclusively for:

livestock and poultry feed;

materials for insulation of livestock premises;

access to veterinary services and medicines.
The program will cover 160 households, and the specific amount of assistance will depend on the needs of each family.
Who can get help?
Applications can be submitted by vulnerable rural households facing difficult social or financial circumstances. In particular:

displaced families or those hosting IDPs;

households whose homes or livelihoods have been destroyed or damaged by war;

families with unemployed people of working age;
-
households where there are people with disabilities;
-
families with people aged 60+;
-
single-parent families that have lost their breadwinner;
-
large families (three or more children under 18 years of age);
-
families where there are pregnant women or children under three years of age.
What you can't spend money on
The ERC emphasizes that financial assistance is prohibited from being used for:

debt repayment;

payment of housing rent;
-
house renovation;
-
purchase of machinery or equipment;
-
payment of taxes;
-
any other non-targeted expenses.
