The 700th day of Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine continues. During the past day, 56 combat clashes took place. This is stated in the morning summary of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on January 24.
In the Siver and Slobozhan directions, the enemy maintains a military presence in the border areas, conducts active diversionary activities in order to prevent the transfer of our troops to threatening directions, and increases the density of mine and explosive barriers along the state border in the Belgorod region.
In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian soldiers repelled four attacks by the occupiers in the Yampolivka, Torsky districts of the Donetsk region, and two more attacks near Bilogorivka, Serebryansk forestry, Luhansk region.
In the direction of Bakhmut, Defense Forces repelled three enemy attacks near Bohdanivka, Ivanivskyi, and Klishchiivka, Donetsk region.
In the Avdiivka direction, Ukrainian defenders continue to hold back the enemy, who does not stop trying to surround Avdiivka. Our soldiers firmly hold the defense, inflicting significant losses on the invaders. Thus, during the past day, the Defense Forces repelled five enemy attacks in the districts of Novobakhmutivka, Stepov, Avdiivka and another 11 attacks near Pervomaiskyi and Nevelskyi in the Donetsk region.
In the Zaporizhzhia direction, our defenders repulsed four enemy attacks south of Krasnoye, west of Verbovoy and Robotiny of the Zaporizhzhia region.
In the Kherson direction, the Defense Forces will continue measures to expand the bridgehead. Despite significant losses, the enemy does not stop trying to knock out Ukrainian units from their positions. During the past day, the enemy carried out seven unsuccessful assaults on the positions of our troops.
Successful strikes of the Armed Forces against enemy positions
Ukrainian soldiers continue to actively inflict losses in manpower and equipment on the occupying troops, exhausting the enemy along the entire front line.
As reported, according to the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW), the Armed Forces of Ukraine are actively fighting the occupiers in various areas of the front. The Russian invaders continued their intensified offensive to the southeast of Kupyansk. Against the backdrop of positional battles, the occupiers advanced near Kreminnaya, Avdiivka and Donetsk.
