According to a survey of the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS), conducted from 12 to 22 March 2025, 77% of Ukrainians have a positive perception of the proposal for a temporary 30-day ceasefire.
Among these 77% of respondents:

47% believe that this is a way to show that Russia does not seek peace or breaks agreement.

12% see this opportunity to unlock military assistance.

18% perceive this as a step until the end of the war on acceptable conditions for Ukraine.
At the same time, 17% of respondents have a negative attitude towards this proposal:

8% consider it a false step that will weaken Ukraine.

7% consider it as a step of despair of the Ukrainian authorities because of the difficult situation on the front.

2% perceive this as a step to the surrender of Ukraine.
In addition, 79% of Ukrainians categorically do not accept the requirements of Russia to stop mobilization, stop the supply of Western weapons and provide intelligence in Ukraine.
Regarding ceasefire without any safety guarantees, 62% of respondents categorically do not support this option. However, if certain security guarantees are provided, more than half of Ukrainians are ready to support the ceasefire :

60% support the option with the placement of Western peacekeepers.

58% - with NATO membership.

56% - with increased support for the Defense Forces of Ukraine (more air defense, aircraft, etc.).
The survey was conducted by telephone interviews among 1 326 respondents in all regions of Ukraine under the control of the government.
