On Thursday, October 2, Ukraine found itself under the influence of a cold and humid air mass. Forecasters from the Ukrhydrometeorological Center predict night rains almost throughout the country, frosts in the west, and wet snow in the mountains.
Light rain is expected at night everywhere except the extreme south, and during the day precipitation will pass in the northern, most central regions and in the Kharkiv region. North-easterly wind, 5–10 m/s.
The temperature at night will range from +1 to +6 degrees, in the west frosts on the soil surface are possible 0…-5 degrees, in the Carpathian region – and in the air 0…-3. The warmest temperatures at night will be in the south and east — +4…+9 degrees. In the daytime, +5…+10 degrees are expected, in Transcarpathia up to +13, in the south and east — +12…+17 degrees.
There will be light wet snow in the Carpathian highlands, with temperatures at night and during the day from +3 to -2 degrees.
In Kyiv and the region it will be cloudy with clearings, light rain is possible. North-easterly wind, 5–10 m/s. Temperature at night +1…-6, during the day +5…+10 degrees.
Forecasters have announced a storm warning (level I danger) for the night of October 2–3 for the western regions, as well as Zhytomyr and Vinnytsia regions, where severe frosts are expected on the soil surface of 0…-3 degrees.
