Russian agent in Khmelnitsky: Drug -dependent spy, which prepared a terrorist attack

Employees of the Security Service of Ukraine detained a 32-year-old citizen in Khmelnitsky, who worked for Russian special services and collected information about military facilities. According to the investigation, he planned to transfer the coordinates of critical objects for the terrorist attack.

Khmelnitsky detained a Russian agent who was preparing a terrorist attack near the units of defense forces at the request of special services of the Russian Federation, reported in the Security Service of Ukraine on Friday.

The Security Service prevented the terrorist attack that the Russian intelligence services were prepared in Khmelnitsky. According to the results of the special operation, the agent of the Russian Federation was detained, who planned to lay explosives near the points of defense forces in the city territory

According to the intelligence service, the corresponding task of the person involved was remote from his curator from the Russian Federation earlier this year.

The priority goals of the enemy, as reported in the SBU, were reserve command points and locations of the units of the Armed Forces and the National Guard.

The agent, according to the SBU, bypassed the territory, recorded geolocation, sought space for bookmarking of explosives. After detecting the object, he analyzed the perimeter for the presence of "convenient" points for the installation of a homemade explosive device (SVP). He then transferred the coordinates of the curator from the Russian Federation for approval, waiting for the instructions for the manufacture of SVP with the mechanism of remote activation through the phone, indicated in the special service.

The SBU worked on ahead and detained the agent during an intelligence near a military facility where the occupiers were planning a terrorist attack.

He seized a mobile phone with an anonymous chat, where he communicated with the Russian special service.

According to the investigation, the agent was a 32-year-old drug addict, which was in the field of view of the invaders, looking for a quick earning in the telegram for a "dose".

He was informed of suspicion under Part 2 of Art. 111 (State betrayal committed in martial law), Part 3 of Art. 114-2 (dissemination of information on the movement, movement or location of the Armed Forces and other military formations formed in accordance with the laws of Ukraine, committed in the conditions of martial law) of the Criminal Code. He is in custody, he is threatened with life imprisonment.
