The Defense Procurement Agency overpaid UAH 215 million for drones of a company with a perfume business

The Defense Procurement Agency found itself at the center of a scandal due to an overpayment of 215 million hryvnias for the supply of drones from a company that declares its main activity to be the trade in perfumes and cosmetics. Information about this was made public as part of an investigation by investigative journalists.

We are talking about the company "VNA Trade" LLC, whose main activity is "46.75 Wholesale of chemical products", and its owner - Mykhailo Nikolenko - has several beauty salons in the capital.

According to the results of the state audit conducted in March of this year, the Bezrukova Agency concluded several contracts with VNA Trade for the supply of 40,000 unmanned aerial vehicles "Grim" in the amount of 900 million UAH and 40 units of BpAK "Grim" for 48.6 million hryvnias The delivery date is no later than December 2024.

At the same time, the head of the firm, Nikolenko, requested 70% advance payment from each contract - UAH 34 million and UAH 630 million, respectively.

After studying the contracts, in particular information from the Prozorro platform, the law enforcement officers came to the conclusion that the overpayment under the contracts amounts to UAH 215 million.

We will remind you that earlier it became known about a criminal case against domestic suppliers of drones due to the fact that there is no license for the international sale of drones, as well as the import of goods into the territory of Ukraine. The perfume company "VNA Trade" also appears among them.
