Ukraine was able to stop the offensive of Russian troops in the Kharkiv region thanks to the use of the latest American weapons. This was reported by Bild's OSINT analyst Julian Röpke. According to his data, Russian troops actually stopped in two main directions, which was made possible thanks to significant military support from the United States.
Russian troops trying to advance in the Kharkiv region encountered serious resistance from Ukrainian forces. In particular, in the direction of Liptsi, they remain in the same border villages that they captured in the first three days of the offensive. In the Vovchansk district, despite the ongoing battles for the city, there is no significant advance of Russian troops either.
Julian Röpke emphasized that the key role in restraining the Russian offensive was played by the new American weapons that Ukraine received. In particular, GLSDB bombs (Ground-Launched Small Diameter Bomb), Javelin anti-tank missile complexes and 155 mm artillery shells are actively used. These types of weapons arrived on the front line not only in the Kharkiv region, but also in the Donetsk region.
GLSDB bombs, which Ukraine received, are characterized by high accuracy and are capable of hitting targets at a long distance. This makes them an effective means of countering Russian offensive operations, especially in hard-to-reach and fortified areas.
Javelin complexes, which have become a symbol of Ukrainian resistance, continue to demonstrate high efficiency in the fight against enemy armored vehicles. Due to its technical characteristics, Javelin allows to destroy tanks and other armored targets at a considerable distance, which significantly reduces the risks for the Ukrainian military.
The US-supplied 155 mm artillery shells also play an important role in stopping the Russian offensive. The high accuracy and power of these shells allow you to effectively destroy enemy positions and equipment, providing a significant advantage to Ukrainian forces on the battlefield.
