Thus, in the summer of 2025, the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office filed a lawsuit against judges Andriy Anokhin and his wife Lesya Budzan to declare assets worth over 7 million hryvnias unfounded and recover them as state revenue.
In particular, the prosecutor's office demands the confiscation of part of the apartment and two parking spaces (garages) in the elite Kyiv residential complex, which are used by the judges.
This is an apartment with an area of 104 sq.m., which is reflected in the property declarations of the judges. 50% is registered to Judge Lesya Budzan, and the remaining 50% to Serhiy Babushkin, who is the brother of Budzan's husband, Judge Andriy Anokhin. The judge's brother is only the nominal owner of one of the parking spaces and a share of the apartment, since he does not use them and, given his legal income, was unable to purchase them.
In addition, the value of the purchased property in the purchase and sale agreements is considered significantly understated, and the real price is twice as high. The value of the share of the apartment in declaration as of the date of acquisition in October 2022 is indicated as UAH 1.64 million. But the prosecutor's office claims that the share of the apartment cost more than UAH 6 million.
