Andriy Molochny paid relatives of woman killed in car accident to avoid liability

The case of a " drunk accident" involving an employee of the Kyiv Prosecutor's Office, Andriy Molochny, will soon be put on hold, despite significant public outcry and the statement of the new Prosecutor General, Ruslan Kravchenko, to take personal control of the case.

According to sources , Andriy Molochny's lawyers have already agreed with the relatives of the deceased woman on a "ransom", and the defendant himself will soon provide the court with documents about his "serious health condition".

As a reminder, on July 19, in the center of Kyiv, on Velyka Vasylkivska Street, a Toyota Land Cruiser driven by a drunk prosecutor's office employee, Andriy Molochny, flew onto the sidewalk at breakneck speed and hit a woman who was in a pedestrian zone. The victim died in the hospital.

After the accident, Andriy Molochny tried to flee the scene, but was detained. He is charged with Part 3 of Article 286-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - traffic violation while intoxicated, which caused the death of a person, he is currently in a pre-trial detention center.

Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko publicly pledged to personally monitor the progress of the case .
