On Friday, May 9, detectives of the National Anti -Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) conducted searches in the premises of the Main Directorate of the National Guard of Ukraine. According to OBOZ.UA sources, the search was conducted in the framework of the investigation into the case of probable violations during public procurement and abuse.
There are no official comments from NABU at this time, the details of the case remain closed.
The commander of the National Guard of Ukraine is Brigadier General Alexander Pivnenko.
Earlier, in March 2025, the Bureau of Economic Security revealed signs of violations in the tender for the construction of an apartment building at the request of one of the bases of the National Guard. The project worth more than UAH 78 million was planned to be sold in the Kiev region.
Bab analysts found that the simplified procurement procedure was illegally applied - despite the fact that the object was not belonging to the category of defense structures. This could lead to budget losses.
After sending the corresponding letter from the beb, the purchase was canceled. Currently, clarification is ongoing, including NABU.
