Army for all: in Ukraine can introduce compulsory military service

The Colonel of the Armed Forces and Deputy Head of the Presidential Office of Ukraine Pavel Palis believes that the state should move to a new model of military service focused on Israeli experience. It is said that all citizens of Ukraine have to serve in the army - and only after that they will be able to count on certain state benefits, positions or budgetary training.

Palis told about it in an interview with Bihus.info. In his view, the benefits of non -serving citizens are unfair and dangerous to the country in war. “If a citizen claims to receive from the state for a position, education or apply for certain payments from the budget, then he must serve. Suppose a minimum contract, albeit annual, ”he said.

The colonel emphasizes that both men and women have. The modern army offers many tasks where anyone can find their function - not only in combat units, but also in the fields of security, logistics, management. This approach, according to Palis, will allow all citizens to undergo basic training, get acquainted with the army system and become part of the reserve.

“To put it bluntly, if you want to become a deputy, you just won't be able to serve in the army. If you want to become another manager or enter the budget, then please, ”he said.

In addition, the President's office is developing a new system of contracts for mobilized ones that are already in the Armed Forces. According to Palis, it is a clearly defined service life, which should increase confidence in the army and reduce tension in society.

The parallel line continues to work on the effective distribution of mobilized. For example, men over 50 are most often directed not to the front, but to the provision or construction of fortifications. This was reported by the Deputy Chief of Zaporizhzhya OTC and JV Andrey Yakunin.
