In the village of Pokrovska Bagachka in Poltava region, the agricultural enterprise SVK "Bahachansky" came under pressure from raiders, who are associated with banker Oleksandr Sosis. The enterprise's employees were unable to start harvesting soybeans due to the intervention of armed individuals and law enforcement agencies.
According to investigative journalists, 20 police officers, KORD special forces, and athletes known for their involvement in the "extortion" of property arrived at the field. The actions were coordinated by the trusted representatives of Sosis and his partner Pavlo Shcherban, who is currently in Vienna. According to sources, the leadership of the Poltava police and the SBU directly carried out the orders of the raiders.
The efforts of the SVK employees and lawyers could not prevent the harvest from being disrupted. The company has already suffered significant losses from this, and the delay threatens to completely spoil the soybeans due to the heat. In addition, not only business will suffer, but also the state, which will not receive income from the sale of the crop and will lose tax revenues.
Journalists found out the scheme of seizure: companies controlled by Alliance Bank owed Sosisa more than UAH 68 million. Instead of settling the debt, the bank initiated criminal proceedings against Bagachansky and secured the seizure of the company's accounts and property through the court. Then the case was transferred to the Poltava Economic Court for bankruptcy of the company, although it had all its financial documents in order and was solvent.
The case is currently pending in the Supreme Court, where the proceedings are being delayed. Meanwhile, the raiders continue to block the company's operations, putting more than 100 employees and 1,200 shareholders at risk.
The situation demonstrates a systemic problem of interaction between law enforcement agencies, the judiciary, and oligarchic interests, which allows raiders to seize strategic enterprises and cause damage to the country's economy.
