Analysts of the Territorial Administration of the Bureau of Economic Security (TU Bab) in Kiev have exposed serious violations in the tender for repair of the Capital Crematorium. It is about the purchase of UAH 160 million, which was planned to be made by one of the municipal enterprises of the Kyiv City State Administration.
As reported in Bab, the winner of the tender was a company that had neither the necessary material and technical base nor qualified personnel with the experience of performing such works. Moreover, the firm has inflated the cost of building materials by almost 30 million hryvnias.
Bureau analysts during the procurement monitoring found these violations in the tender documentation and promptly sent an official letter to the customer with the specified risks.
As a result, the utility has canceled the purchase.
The investigation is ongoing. Bab continues to check other KSCA tenders to prevent such abuse in the future.
