Zelensky bloc: who will join the new political project

The Servant of the People brand, once associated with political revolution, is now history. President Volodymyr Zelenskyi's team plans to go to the next elections with a new name — the conditional "Zelenskyi Bloc". Such a decision is dictated by the desire to overcome the toxicity of the previous platform and find a new way to the hearts of voters.

According to sources, the new party format can count on the support of about 20% of voters, according to the latest polls. The party lists will undergo drastic changes: only 10% of the current deputies will retain their positions. The main emphasis will be on new faces - volunteers, bloggers, local leaders, activists and military.

One of the possible leaders of the renewed party is considered Mykhailo Fedorov, Deputy Prime Minister for Digital Transformation. However, these plans are still under discussion. At the same time, Zelenskyi's close entourage insists on his participation in the elections regardless of the circumstances, although the "second echelon" advises to wait for updated sociological data.

General Valery Zaluzhnyi, who gained enormous popularity among Ukrainians, also remains an important political figure. According to sources, the head of the Office of the President Andriy Yermak offered Zaluzhny to lead Zelenskyi's party, but the ex-head has not yet decided whether to enter politics.

"Zaluzhnyi's campaign is more reminiscent of Zelensky's 2018-2019 scenario, but with the risk of becoming not the second Zelensky, but the second Yushchenko," experts note.

Washington insists on holding elections in Ukraine, seeing it as an important step towards democratic stability. According to forecasts, the elections may not take place before autumn 2025, but their date will also depend on the global political context.

Changing the brand is an attempt by Zelenskyi and his team to distance themselves from the negativity associated with "Servant of the People". Whether the new political format will be able to retain the trust of Ukrainians will depend on the extent to which the updated lists and faces meet the demands of society.
