Britain banned Ukraine from using Storm Shadow missiles on Russia

The United Kingdom has banned Ukraine from using Storm Shadow missiles for attacks on Russian territory, fearing a serious escalation of tensions with Moscow.

This is reported by The Times newspaper, pointing to a decision also reached by some of Britain's NATO allies.

Overall, the British government's policy on such strikes "has become so confusing that even President Zelensky was confused by his meeting with Keir Starmer.".

The publication reminds that on July 10, Zelenskyy already stated that Britain had given permission for long-range strikes on Russia. However, the newspaper writes that in fact this is not the case.
