The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine decided to appoint Yulia Kirillova to the post of Deputy Minister of Veteran Affairs of Ukraine. The decision was announced by the Department of Veterans Affairs and underscores the importance of the veteran community in government.
Experience and achievements
Before being appointed to the new position, Yuliya Kirillova served as the executive director of the Ukrainian Veterans' Fund from July 2024. She has been working in the foundation's team since 2022, where she first headed the department of educational and analytical work, and later became the first deputy director.
Kirillova also has military service experience — in 2015-2016, she served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Her active work in support of veterans was marked by the founding of the Women's Veterans Movement, which became an important platform for discussing the problems faced by women in the military.
Awards and recognition
Yuliya Kirillova has numerous awards for her service and active social activities. Among them are the Order of Princess Olga of the III degree, the departmental award of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the badges "Badge of Honor", "25th Battalion Kyiv Rus", as well as the medal of the Ministry of Defense "For Assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine".
In addition, she is a laureate of the Open World program, which focuses on work with veterans, which demonstrates her commitment to support and improve the lives of veterans in Ukraine.
