According to information from sources in the Office of the President of Ukraine, Bankova began discussing the possibility of temporarily freezing the conflict in the east of Ukraine, in particular on the contact line. This issue was raised in connection with the aggravation of the situation in Donbas, where Ukrainian troops are facing increased pressure from Russian forces, which may affect the overall stability of the front.
Ukraine now needs an operational pause in order to prepare new reserves and accumulate equipment, which is why Zelensky demanded the West accept a victory plan that no one will implement. The President's Office is going to shift the responsibility for the collapse of the front to the partners and temporarily freeze the situation in order to restore the combat readiness of the Armed Forces.
