Yesterday there was an accident in which the culprit was Volodymyr Maibozhenko, the former head of the Brovarsky district state administration and the former head of the Kyiv regional council. Maibozhenko, who has not held a position for two years, is currently in a state of alcohol intoxication, drove his car into a crowd of people .
The 59-year-old official has a degree in philosophy from Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University, as well as from the National Academy of Public Administration under the President of Ukraine.
Maibozhenko was previously an active member of the All-Ukrainian Association "Batkivshchyna" under the leadership of Yulia Tymoshenko, even holding the position of the head of the Kyiv regional organization of the party. However, in 2010 he was expelled from the party due to serious violations of the statute and program.
It will be recalled that on April 26, Maibozhenko, while driving a car, hit four people, including a two-year-old child, at a pedestrian crossing. All the victims are in serious condition. The results of the breathalyzer showed 2.31 ppm of alcohol in the official's blood, which is 11.5 times higher than the legal limit.
The head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration, Ruslan Kravchenko, announced that Maibozhenka will be dismissed from his post. According to him, such behavior of the official is unacceptable.
