Tetyana Krupa, head of the Khmelnytskyi Medical and Social Expert Commission (MSEK), who is under investigation on suspicion of illegal enrichment, will remain in her post for another year. According to court documents, the Khmelnytskyi Regional Council extended her contract until November 2025.
During the searches of Tetyana Krupa's house, law enforcement officers found significant amounts of cash — $6 million, as well as $590,000 in Polish bank accounts. In addition, the presence of real estate, including hotels, land plots and houses abroad, was revealed, which, according to the investigation, may indicate illegal enrichment.
Despite this, the local regional council decided to extend the contract with Krupa, although her suspicions of committing financial crimes have not yet been finally examined by the court.
While the investigation is ongoing, Tetyana Krupa will continue to perform her duties as the head of the Khmelnytskyi MSEK. At the same time, the law enforcement officers promise to carefully check her assets and sources of income within the framework of the criminal case regarding illegal enrichment.
The regional council's decision to extend the contract has sparked discussions among the local community and political experts, as it may raise doubts about the transparency and effectiveness of the fight against corruption in state institutions.
