The Pechersk District Court of Kyiv announced that the current People's Deputy of Ukraine was found guilty of committing an administrative offense related to corruption. This was reported by the press service of the State Bureau of Investigation and the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption.
The law enforcement officers do not disclose the identity of the deputy, but it is clear from the context that it is Oleksandr Dubinskyi.
According to information from the investigation, in November 2023, the elected official was officially warned about an administrative violation related to corruption, based on the materials of the State Bureau of Investigation.
According to the investigation reports, in August and October 2023, the deputy sent requests to the Ministry of Health and the State Bureau of Investigation, which asked questions related to the personal interests of the people's deputy. In his appeals, he sought permission to travel abroad, which is the subject of criminal proceedings in which he is a suspect. In addition, the deputy tried to influence the investigation, demanding an audit of the leadership of law enforcement agencies investigating criminal cases in which he appears.
According to the results of the investigation, the actions of the elected official violated the requirements of the Law of Ukraine "On Prevention of Corruption" (regarding the avoidance of conflict of interests), for which administrative responsibility is provided in accordance with Part 2 of Article 172-7 of the Code of Ukraine on administrative offenses.
It is also reminded that in January, proceedings against this people's deputy on suspicion of official forgery in order to travel abroad were referred to the court.
The National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption also reported on this court decision, adding that the court accordingly obliged the deputy to pay a fine. The court's decision can be appealed within 10 days after its adoption and becomes legally binding after the deadline for filing an appeal has expired.
The National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption notes that after the decision enters into force, information about the People's Deputy will be entered into the Unified State Register of persons who have committed corruption or corruption-related offenses.
We will remind that on February 9, the Pechersk District Court of Kyiv decided to extend the preventive measure in the form of detention for People's Deputy of Ukraine Oleksandr Dubinsky.
On August 9, 2023, the Prosecutor General of Ukraine announced that People's Deputy Oleksandr Dubinsky was suspected of entering false information into official documents in the work of an official.
It is known that in June 2023, Dubinsky went abroad, claiming that he was accompanying his seriously ill father. However, the SBU established that the deputy's father traveled abroad independently, without the participation of the parliamentarian, and signed official documents. This caused suspicion of forgery of documents.
On November 10, 2023, the State Bureau of Investigation announced the completion of the pre-trial investigation into Dubinsky. According to the investigation, he entered the data of his roommate's brother, who was trying to leave for Moldova, into the Shlyach system. It is known that these actions were aimed at transporting the MP's personal car to Vienna.
On November 13, Oleksandr Dubinsky was charged with treason and creation, leadership and participation in a criminal organization. The investigation revealed that the suspect was part of a criminal organization that worked for Russian intelligence and aimed to destabilize the political situation in Ukraine and discredit the state.
Oleksandr Dubinsky is currently in the Kyiv remand prison, where he has an individual bed, but does not have any privileges. In addition, the court rejected the request of the prosecutors to prohibit him from using social networks, in particular, from conducting video broadcasts.
Oleksandr Dubinsky was elected a People's Deputy from the "Servant of the People" party in 2019. Before that, he worked on the TV channel "1+1" and was known for his investigations. In 2021, he was expelled from the political party due to violation of the statute and disobedience to the leadership.
