The company "EURO5" LLC, which positions itself as a supplier of Euro-5 fuel, actually supplies diesel fuel with dangerous characteristics. An independent examination showed that the sulfur content in the fuel of this company exceeds the norm by 35 times - 356 mg/kg instead of the permissible 10 mg/kg. The flash point is less than 30°C, which creates a fire hazard and a threat to equipment.
Despite these facts, fuel from EURO5 LLC is massively supplied not only to military units, but also to municipal enterprises, state structures, agricultural companies, and the private sector. Agreements are concluded without proper technical control, and the tax service and environmental inspection turn a blind eye to official complaints and laboratory test results.
The company uses financial schemes through shell companies, which allows it to evade taxes and launder millions of hryvnias of budget funds.
According to drivers and mechanics, problems with the fuel system on vehicles fueled with this fuel occur regularly. At the same time, experts note that some vehicles, especially new cars, are able to operate on it for a certain time, but this does not eliminate the threats posed by low-quality fuel.
“Once I filled up with 95th gasoline on Euro-5 — the car was dull and wouldn’t pull. I won’t go there again,” shares one of the users. And others note: “Every second car is repaired because of the fuel system.”
While officials report on control and quality of supply, in reality a large-scale corruption scheme is taking place. It not only harms the economy, but also jeopardizes the combat capability of the army, the efficiency of public utilities, and the reliability of the agricultural sector.
