The family of Danylo Hetmantsev, the head of the parliamentary committee on taxes and finance, lives abroad and owns real estate through offshore schemes with ambiguous connections. This is reported by Absolution Leaks, citing the MP's declarations.
According to official documents, Getmantsev's wife and sons live in France. Their home is a 142.6 square meter apartment registered to the company Les Hauts D'Esmeralda. The company was created in November 2012 in Haute-Savoie, an elite region of France popular with wealthy foreigners.
The beneficiary of the company is the mother of the People's Deputy, Elena Getmantseva. The co-founder is Philip Meyer, a Swiss citizen from Geneva. However, the circle of connections does not end there. Meyer is also a partner in another French company, Les Hauts De Bristol, which is associated with Russian citizens Marina Krinichanskaya and Daniil Krinichansky, registered in Moscow.
In addition, it was recorded that Hetmantsev's mother-in-law, Olena Bukovnyova, currently lives in the Russian city of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky with her husband, Oleksandr Bukovnyov.
The MP's declaration also indicates a financial connection with a sanctioned person. The Getmantsev family provided a loan of $50,000 to Lebanese citizen Rodrigo Merhej. This man is under US sanctions on charges of arms trafficking.
While Ukraine is fighting Russian aggression, part of the political elite, as can be seen from the declarations, not only has close personal and business ties abroad, but also cooperates with structures affiliated with Russian citizens and international individuals on sanctions lists.
