In 2024, the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) transferred to the National Agency for Investigation and Asset Management (ARMA) assets that were recognized as unfounded, for a total amount of more than 11.5 billion hryvnias. This was reported by the press center of the SBI.
According to the SBI, the income from the management of the transferred assets amounts to more than 1 billion 68 million hryvnias. In general, thanks to the work of the Bureau, the state budget was replenished by 5 billion hryvnias during the year.
"The state spends on the maintenance of the DBR many times less than it receives from its work. This indicates the high efficiency of the department," the Bureau said.
In 2024, as part of the "great privatization", the first auction was held for the sale of property confiscated according to the materials of the SBI. For one of the objects, the state received 1.89 billion hryvnias.
In addition, 1.8 billion hryvnias were charged to the state budget from the assets of the company associated with the Russian bookmaker 1xBet. The procedure for the confiscation of Pin-Up online casino assets, which are estimated at 2.6 billion hryvnias, is being completed.
The SBI continues to identify and hand over to ARMA the assets of former people's deputies suspected of treason. In 2024, it was transferred:
- Property and corporate rights of Lviv construction companies "Betonbud" and "Capital Plaza".
- 50% of the corporate rights of "Halytske Perehrestya" LLC, the ultimate beneficiaries of which are the relatives of ex-deputies.
- The Royal Romance yacht with an estimated cost of 5.9 billion hryvnias.
The following was also transferred to ARMA:
- Four helicopters and two airplanes belonging to Crimean entrepreneurs.
The State Bureau of Investigation continues to work actively to identify unsubstantiated assets, contributing to financial stability and economic recovery of Ukraine.
As a reminder, from July 2024, detectives of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine are conducting a pre-trial investigation into the possible illegal enrichment of the first deputy director of the State Bureau of Investigation, Oleksandr Udovichenko, a figure in the Hromadske journalistic investigation, in which it is said that he lives in an undeclared luxury apartment in Kyiv.
