Employees of the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI), together with the Security Service of Ukraine and the State Border Guard Service, have completed the investigation into the case of a police officer who organized an illegal channel for smuggling men of draft age across the border. The indictment has already been submitted to the court, and now the perpetrator will wait for the decision of Themis.
According to the investigation, the law enforcement officer was actively looking for people who wanted to avoid mobilization and offered them illegal travel to unrecognized Transnistria.
The cost of such “services” was 7 thousand US dollars. For this money, he guaranteed clients assistance in crossing the border at night, provided instructions on how to cross the border safely, and assured them that he had experience in such operations.
However, in January 2025, the law enforcement officer was detained while receiving the full amount for the crossing.
The policeman was charged under two articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine:

Part 3 of Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (illegal smuggling of persons across the state border),

Part 2 of Article 369-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (obtaining unlawful benefit).
Now the court will decide his future fate.
