The State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) exposed the military commissar who illegally interfered with the electronic system "Oberig" and became a dollar millionaire. The official used his official position to create fictitious documents that allowed him to avoid military service.
The official made 138 evaders fictitiously unfit for service.
The illegal scheme has been operating in the Odessa picking center since July 2023. Then the head of the department began to interfere without authorization in the electronic database of the registry of conscripts "Oberig" and in general "corrected" data on 138 conscripts, fictitiously making them unfit for military service. For his services, the attacker took from 4.5 to 7 thousand dollars and thus managed to earn at least a million dollars. The Bureau noted that they have identified all persons who managed to use the scheme - some of them have already gone abroad.
During the joint activities of the SBI with the employees of the RTCC and the SP, the evaders who remained on the territory of Ukraine were taken to the recruitment center for updating data and further mobilization to the ranks of the Armed Forces. Currently, the issue of selecting a preventive measure for him and removing him from his position is being resolved. The man faces up to 15 years in prison. Law enforcement officers are establishing a full circle of persons involved in the robbery. In particular, 14 searches were conducted at the place of work and residence of the figure and participants of the scheme. Procedural actions continue.
