Deputy Economy Minister Iryna Ovcharenko and her husband Oleksandr Holub own a significant amount of real estate, including seven apartments in Kyiv and Mukachevo, with another apartment under construction. However, the couple's official income does not provide an explanation for the acquisition of such property.
Iryna Ovcharenko assumed the position of Deputy Minister in September 2025. She has over 20 years of experience in public positions, including many years working at the State Agency for Water Resources.
Ovcharenko's real estate includes:
-
a land plot of 1,200 sq. m in the village of Stovpyagi, Kyiv region;
-
apartment of 43.2 sq. m in Kyiv (2020) for 844 thousand UAH;
-
apartment of 96.6 sq. m in Kyiv (2021) for 1.6 million UAH;
-
two more apartments of 43.2 sq. m in Kyiv;
-
apartment 32.7 sq. m in Mukachevo (2024) for 950 thousand UAH.
The husband, Oleksandr Holub, owns two apartments in Mukachevo and another one under construction. Interestingly, some of the real estate properties appeared in Ovcharenko's declarations even during the period when Holub had no official income.
The couple does not have cars. The total official income of Ovcharenko and Holub in 2023 was about 282 thousand UAH. Ovcharenko keeps 18 thousand dollars in cash, and in bank accounts – 88 thousand UAH, 158 dollars and 82 euros.
Ovcharenko's work history includes management positions at the State Agency for Water Resources, temporary performance of the duties of the agency's head, as well as work as the first deputy head of the National Agency for Civil Service and director of the state institution "Ukrainian Hydro-Amelioration Systems".
It is unclear how the couple was able to purchase so many real estate properties, given the official income and savings indicated in the declarations.
