According to the results of the study of the labor market of Ukraine, conducted by the European Business Association, it was found that three quarters of employers feel a shortage of personnel in the country. This is significantly higher than the figure of 55% recorded in the fall of 2023.
"74% of respondents noted that they currently experience a shortage of personnel, 17% partially experience a shortage of personnel, and 7% do not experience a shortage of personnel," the results of the study indicate.
In addition, among the main problems that exist in the labor market in Ukraine, the respondents also singled out the shortage of talents and the outflow of qualified personnel abroad, the lack of specialists with knowledge of the English language.
Mobilization, desire to work remotely, burnout and fatigue, unwillingness of recruiters and employers to cooperate with candidates 40+, low level of inclusiveness, lack of strategic management of demographic processes, redistribution of workforce within the country, business operations in the "gray" were also highlighted among the problems for the labor market. fields, disproportion between salary expectations of candidates and financial capabilities of business, official employment of conscripts.
109 personnel management specialists took part in the study. More than 60% of participants will represent international business. 50% of companies are representatives of large businesses, 43% of medium and 7% of small businesses.
Wholesale and retail trade, the pharmaceutical sector, food production and specialized consulting services represent the largest number of participants in the study.
The study was conducted from February to April 2024 and covered the period August 2023 to April 2024.
