The deputy of the Berehiv District Council from the party "Servant of the People" and the head of the Legal Support Sector of the Main Department of the State Migration Service in Transcarpathian region Valentin Veremchuk went to the European Union in November 2024 - and has not returned since then.

According to him, the departure was issued through the checkpoint "Dyakovo" under the guise of a business trip. It is worth noting that at that time the customs post was headed by his father - Mykola Veremchuk, who repeatedly appeared in scandals related to smuggling.

In April 2023, searches were already in their family house. Mykola Veremchuk has repeatedly dismissed the customs due to suspicion in smuggling schemes, but was renewed every time through court.
It is unknown whether Veremchuk, Jr., intends to return to Ukraine, but his disappearance has already attracted the attention of the public and journalists who require law enforcement agencies.
