The Commercial Court of Lviv region satisfied the claim of the Specialized Prosecutor's Office in the field of defense of the Western region and decided to return the state warehouses of more than 1200 m² in the village of Malekhiv near Lviv. It is an object worth more than UAH 24 million, which in due time belonged to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, but left state ownership in 2003 - illegally and without the consent of the department.
For 22 years, the premises have been repeatedly resold, changed its purpose, and redeveloped. However, the court declared invalid the right of ownership of one of the last owners - the Lviv firm of LLC "UGU", which purchased the object through electronic auctions.
According to the Judicial Register, the company owns two Lviv residents - Viktor Garbuz and Mykola Berkash. One of them, Victor Garbuz, is also a co -owner of the infamous Bug LLC, which previously appeared in materials about possible ties with former members of the Party of Regions.
The Specialized Prosecutor's Office in the field of defense states that the fact of illegal disposal of the object from state property has become obvious during the investigation into other cases of loss of the Ministry of Defense of its assets. It was thanks to the lawsuit that it was possible to claim this real estate back.
Currently, the full text of the decision has not yet been made public. It is expected that upon completion of all procedures, the premises will again officially become the property of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, and the prosecutor's office will continue the investigation into other similar schemes.
