US Secretary of State Marco Rubio: Ukraine's future is threatened through war and emigration

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that Ukraine's future is seriously threatened due to a lasting war and mass emigration of the population. He reported this in an interview for American journalist Megin Kelly.

Rubio noted that the war in Ukraine was delayed. In his opinion, negotiations and concessions are needed on both sides.

"Ukraine was rejected 100 years ago, and its future is threatened through millions of citizens who went abroad," Rubio said.

He also accused the administration of US President Joe Biden of misleading Kiev, convincing that Ukraine would "return to what it was in 2012 or 2014 - before the Russians took Crimea."

"There is one lie - we were instilled that Ukraine will not only be able to defeat Russia, but also destroy it, completely rejected to the borders of 2012 or 2014, to Crimea and other territories," he said.

At the same time, Rubio stated that the reality is as follows: a year and a half, Ukraine has been asking for the support of supporting a deadlock, protracted conflict.

"From the point of view of the President (Donald Trump - Ed.), This is a long conflict and it must be completed," Rubio said, adding that both Ukraine and Russia have to give up something.
