Detective of the Lviv Bureau of Economic Security Serhiy Shynderuk purchased an apartment in Lviv using millions of hryvnias received as gifts from relatives.
Shynderuk has been working at BEB since 2023. Before that, he was a police investigator in the Rivne region for many years. In October 2024, he bought an apartment with an area of 62 sq. m. in Lviv. The total cost of housing is almost 3.9 million UAH. The apartment was purchased on a mortgage under the “eOselya” program for 2 million UAH, the remaining amount – a little less than 1.9 million UAH – the official paid for with gifts from relatives: he received 2.1 million UAH two days before the purchase from Larisa Ivanivna Shynderuk (1.1 million UAH) and Oleksandra Antonivna Shynderuk (1 million UAH).
Before purchasing his own home, Shynderuk rented an apartment in Lviv, but did not indicate the rental expenses in his declaration. Since 2016, his wife and two children have lived in a house with an area of 216.7 sq. m in the village of Gremyache, Rivne region, which belongs to Larisa Ivanivna Shynderuk. She also has a land plot under the house registered for her. Serhiy Shynderuk did not indicate the value of this property in his declaration.
In 2024, the official also purchased a used FORD MONDEO 2012 car for UAH 157,000, although the market price of the car is about UAH 350,000. Last year, he received a salary from BEB in the amount of UAH 769,000 and UAH 7,000 in compensation for part of the interest rate on the “eOselya” loan. In addition, additional income in the form of cash gifts from relatives amounted to UAH 2.1 million.
The detective has almost 15 thousand UAH in bank accounts, and over 9 thousand dollars in cash, the total amount of savings is about 400 thousand UAH. The income of his wife Margarita Shinderuk is limited to social benefits in the amount of 10,320 UAH for caring for a child under three years old.
