The State Border Service of Ukraine (SPSU) announced the disconnection of more than 200 carriers from the "Shlyah" system due to numerous violations of border crossing rules. According to Andrii Demchenko, the spokesman of the State Police Service of Ukraine, the discovered cases of abuse of the system relate to both unreliable data about drivers and violations of the terms of travel abroad.
One of the areas of verification is the "Path" system for drivers who carry out transportation or follow those abroad for the transportation of humanitarian aid. During border control, it is very often found that those who follow this system cannot confirm the purpose of their trip
According to him, licensees are abusing the fact that they enter information about drivers, and they subsequently do not comply with the period of stay abroad.
"In such cases, they receive a refusal to cross the border. But there are times when we record that licensees abuse and enter information about drivers who subsequently do not comply with the period of stay abroad or do not return at all. We pass this information on to Ukrtransbezpeka so that they can conduct a more thorough check. And more than 200 licensees were refused further input of information about such drivers", - Demchenko.
Earlier, Demchenko reported that the State Border Service of Ukraine does not rule out possible changes in the border crossing procedure for men with disabilities.
