In the Poltava region, investigators suspect the director of a construction company and a private entrepreneur of embezzling budget funds during the reconstruction of the Poltavavodokanal collector. The regional prosecutor's office reports this.
According to the investigation, the enterprise entered into a contract with a company that performs construction and installation work. According to law enforcement officers, the contractor overestimated the volume and cost of the work performed, embezzling about 1.8 million hryvnias from the budget.
The private entrepreneur who was supposed to carry out technical supervision not only failed to detect violations, but also contributed to their concealment by signing the certificates of work performed with false information.
The director of the construction company was notified of suspicion under Part 5 of Article 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – appropriation of another's property by abuse of official position, committed on a particularly large scale under martial law.
The entrepreneur is charged with aiding and abetting this crime – Part 5, Article 27, Part 5, Article 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
