The law enforcement officers announced suspicion against the former director of the Department for Civil Protection and Defense Work of the Kherson Regional Military Administration in the case of embezzlement of state funds. According to information from the Prosecutor General's Office, the suspect purchased clothing for the Territorial Defense Forces with losses exceeding UAH 18.7 million.
"According to the investigation, in November-December 2022, the suspect concluded a contract with the LLC for the purchase of sets of winter clothing for units of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Later, he adopted winter hats, jackets, trousers and gloves without quality certificates. They did not meet the technical requirements approved by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine," the telegram channel said.
As a result of the former director's improper performance of his duties, the state suffered losses in the total amount of over UAH 18.7 million.
He was informed of the suspicion of official negligence (Part 2 of Article 367 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
