"They don't teach soldiers anything except alcoholism": the ex-commander of the company of the 47th brigade spoke about the training of Ukrainians for the Armed Forces
The Ukrainian army is once again facing the challenge of training conscripts and motivating soldiers . The ex-commander of the company of the 47th brigade, senior lieutenant Mykola Melnyk, revealed the problem in the system of training servicemen and their motivation in military affairs.
In a conversation with the publication "Ukrainian Pravda", Melnyk emphasized the grave consequences of the lack of motivation among fighters at the front . He described situations where servicemen refused to perform their duties or even deserted, which led to tragic consequences.
"Terrible (consequences of lack of motivation - ed.)! You told him to hold the observation point, but he dropped the machine gun, went, surrendered and reported where this SP was. Or the Russians haven't started an assault yet, and he's already running away. This is a tragedy. Therefore, motivation should be engaged in from morning to night," said Melnyk.
He expressed his conviction that it is necessary to radically change the military , since most training centers do not teach soldiers anything except alcoholism. Melnyk called for propaganda and changes in the training system in order to increase motivation among conscripts and attract new people to the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to Melnyk, the use of human skills acquired in civilian life should be taken into account during war . He gave examples of how important it is to intelligently distribute personnel according to their professional skills and abilities.
These statements by Melnyk indicate the need for a comprehensive approach to the training of military personnel and increasing their motivation, which is an important component for the effective functioning and protection of Ukraine's .
