The Defense Forces of Ukraine are actively working to reduce the enemy's ability to shell the territory of Ukraine. Oleksandr Musienko, the head of the Center for Military and Legal Research, expressed an optimistic forecast for the winter period on the air of the telethon, noting that it will not be as difficult as the previous one.
"First of all, Ukraine is taking measures that were not visible before. These are strikes on places of concentration of significant amounts of weapons, which reduces Russian capabilities, in particular in ballistics," explained Musienko. He also noted that Ukraine is strengthening its air defense system and is waiting for the implementation of the agreements of the NATO summit held in Washington this summer regarding the supply of new air defense systems.
"Germany has transferred additional systems capable of destroying cruise missiles and other threats," the expert added.
However, he noted that the occupiers will try to disperse the places where supplies and missile weapons are stored in order to protect them from Ukrainian strikes. "The enemy thinks that he can better protect his stocks, but we have effective means to detect and destroy them," Musienko emphasized.
On October 9, the Defense Forces of Ukraine struck a warehouse for the storage of Shahed UAVs in the Krasnodar region of Russia, destroying about 400 units. According to Forbes, this is about 5% of all UAVs that the enemy has used against Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale war. Earlier, Ukrainian defenders also hit the arsenal of the enemy's main missile and artillery control in the Bryansk region of the Russian Federation, where only two dozen such objects are located.
Thanks to the active work of the Defense Forces of Ukraine and the strengthening of air defense, the Ukrainian military hopes to reduce threats and ensure the safety of the country in the winter period.
