On May 1, Ukraine has officially started using a new type of gasoline - E5, which includes up to 5% of bioethanol. It is part of a pan -European trend towards fuel greening. The first parties of such "alcoholic" gasoline have already appeared at Ukrainian gas stations, and large networks are actively preparing for a full transition. However, experts advise drivers to be careful - new fuel requires strict adherence to storage and transportation standards. Energy analyst Sergei Kuyun calls at least at the start not to look for the lowest prices, but to choose proven sellers who can guarantee quality.

"Alcohol" gasoline is already in Ukraine.
The market is actively preparing for May 1, import E5 (gasoline with 5% of biocomponents).
OKKO and UPG have already stated that they did not see problems with the start of the program, and Ukrnafta has already started the sale of E5 at separate stations (in order to comply with the law on May 1, filling the stations with biofilming already on all major networks).
Once again, I want to repeat my advice: at least in May-June, refrain from searching for and using the cheapest gasoline. The market should adapt to a new product, which is very demanding of cleanliness of tanks at oil depots, gas stations and gas trucks. Quality control should be strengthened, and only network players who have stationary and mobile laboratories (creation and maintenance of these units require a lot of money) can do this.
In addition, on premium networks the chances of being heard in the event of some situations are much greater.
