While Ukrainians raise funds for drones for the front, the mayor of Uzhgorod Bogdan Andriyev declared the fortune that raise questions. It is about elite real estate, jewelry and luxurious cars, while the mayor himself blocks the initiative on the support of the army, hiding behind the priority of "sand bags" for schools.
On March 25, 2025, Andriyev filed an annual declaration. The document is an apartment of 50 m² for 19 thousand hryvnias, a new apartment without specified value, a house of 184 m² and more than 6,700 m² of land.
The cost of an apartment of 19 thousand looks strange when compared to market prices in Uzhgorod, where even in 2024 one-room housing cost at least $ 49-56 thousand, ie more than 2 million hryvnias.
In the section "Valuable Property" Andriyev indicated a clock Breguet for 232 thousand hryvnias. Its fleet is complemented by a 2007 trailer, but the mayor's wife has a Mercedes-Benz 2012 and uses Audi Q8 for free in 2019 worth more than UAH 3 million, which belongs to the Family Solar Energy Plus.
The mayor's income is also impressive: UAH 1.18 million in salary per year (over 98 thousand per month), plus more than one million hryvnias of real estate sales. The accounts have more than 240 thousand hryvnias and 44 euros, another 20 thousand hryvnias and 2 thousand euros are in cash.
Against the background of the war and poverty of most Ukrainians, this financial situation looks particularly cynical, given the scandals around Andriyiv.
In 2024, the City Council was in the center of a high -profile scandal: the deputy and the military Alexander Volosyansky exposed the manipulation of Andriyiv on the assistance of the army. According to him, the declared UAH 23 million for the purchase of drones for the Armed Forces have not been allocated. When Volosyansky suggested actually send 11 million to drones, the mayor refused, saying: "Sand bags will save children more than the drones of soldiers."
In parallel, the City Council has invested 126 million hryvnias in the purchase of new buses, restoring the projects of the pre -war strategy for transport development.
The name of Andriyiv is constantly populating in corruption and political scandals. In 2018, he was suspected of waste over UAH 6.5 million during the reconstruction of the Owl's Nest Cultural Center. In 2023, the SBU searched his office in the case of counterfeit foreign business trips during the war - in fact, officials rode abroad to rest.
Andriyev himself has an ambiguous past: the former "regional", which was associated with Antimaydan and Aunts ", in 2019 joined the pro -Russian political platform" Trust the cases ".
Today, Uzhgorod is one of the rear centers that could support the front more. But instead of directing funds for the needs of the army, the city authorities are engaged in the development of transport and blocking the purchase of drones.
The question arises: why does an official with an elite lifestyle still remain in power, despite so many scandals?
