Next week, power outages may resume in Ukraine due to the predicted cold weather. Volodymyr Velychko, a member of the supervisory board of "Centrenergo", warns about this, noting that forecasters predict a significant decrease in temperature.
Velichko emphasized that for power engineers this means the need to take more significant measures to balance the power system. Among such measures is emergency assistance from operators of neighboring countries. However, before seeking external help, it is necessary to use one's own resources as much as possible.
"In the event that NEC Ukrenergo is unable to maintain the balance of the energy system, shutdown schedules will be applied," Velychko added.
Thus, Ukrainians should be prepared for possible interruptions in electricity supply, if the energy industry cannot ensure the proper balance in the conditions of a drop in temperature.
