The escalation of the war in Ukraine affected the US stock market: the Dow Jones fell by 350 points

The escalation of the war in Ukraine after the US authorization of long-range strikes on the territory of Russia led to a noticeable decrease in the main indicators of the American stock market. According to Handelsblatt , the Dow Jones index fell by 350 points, which reflects the growing tension among investors.

The article states that the reason for the fall of the index was the Ukrainian attack by ATACMS missiles on Russian territory and the fear of Moscow's response.

"Investors around the world are nervous because Putin has said that if the situation escalates, he may respond with further escalation," said Kim Forrest, chief investor at U.S. asset manager Bokeh Capital Partners.

It will be recalled that the Kremlin announced that it could give a nuclear response to long-range missile strikes on the Russian Federation.
