According to our sources in the Office of the President, Valery Zaluzhnyi continues to delay the decision regarding the proposed position of ambassador to Britain. Now the ex-commander-in-chief is on sick leave, but at the same time he is conducting active consultations with representatives of the US Embassy in Ukraine. It is known that General Valery Zaluzhny passed the medical examination in the winter, and he was declared unfit for further service in the army.
After being dismissed from his post by the president's decision, Zaluzhny was appointed at the disposal of the Minister of Defense. However, no significant military post corresponding to Zaluzhnyi's level of training and experience has been offered or appointed by Defense Minister Umerov, as well as previously by President Zelensky.
As a result, Valery Zaluzhnyi decided to resign from military service.
Confirmation of whether the Minister of Defense signed the report after the announcement of the President's intention to appoint Valery Zaluzhnyi as Ambassador to London remains unknown.
