Law enforcement officers have reported a 21-year-old Kyiv resident suspected of committing a terrorist attack in Bucha. According to investigators, the young man was recruited by representatives of Russian special services through an online game.
As investigators established, the recruitment took place in March 2026. After that, the suspect maintained contact with the curator via messenger, where he received instructions and funding for preparing the explosions.
Following the curator's instructions, he purchased the necessary components and manufactured two improvised explosive devices, which he prepared for remote detonation.
The first explosion occurred on March 23 near a residential building in Bucha. The explosion damaged the building's facade, shattered windows, and damaged cars parked nearby.
The second device went off after law enforcement officers arrived at the scene. The explosion injured law enforcement officers and caused additional damage.
According to the investigation, the suspect's actions were aimed at intimidating the population.
A pre-trial investigation is currently underway, and law enforcement officers are establishing all the circumstances of the case and possible accomplices.
