GSC Game World has announced a significant price increase for all editions of STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl on Steam. Now the cost of the game will correspond to the prices on the Microsoft Store, which is 80% higher than the previous prices.
According to the new tariffs, the standard edition of the game has increased in price from 895 hryvnias to 1,597 hryvnias. Deluxe Edition now costs 2,147 hryvnias, instead of the previous 1,199 hryvnias. The price of the Ultimate Edition has increased to 2,890 hryvnias, which is a significant increase from 1,599 hryvnias.
GSC Game World explained this decision by the market situation and noted that STALKER 2 was one of the cheapest AAA projects on Steam for a long time. The developers noted that price adjustments are necessary given current market conditions and regional price analytics.
It is worth noting that the price increase will not apply to physical editions of the game, which can be purchased at the old price. Players who have already pre-ordered will not need to pay extra for the new rates.
At the time of writing, the new prices for STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl have not yet been applied, but the developers promise that the changes in the cost of the game will take place within a few days.

STALKER 2 is in fourth place in the Steam rating among the most anticipated games, behind only Hollow Knight: Silksong, Monster Hunter Wilds and Frostpunk 2. Rounding out the top 5 is Valve's new online shooter Deadlock .
