In the case of the former chairman of the Supreme Court, Vsevolod Knyazev has new evidence. During the next meeting of the Supreme Anti -Corruption Court, on April 25, audio recordings were published in which the persons involved discussed the distribution of money for making the necessary decisions.
According to the Wax platform, the audio files were obtained within the framework of unspoken investigative actions. The records hear voices similar to the lawyer of Oleg Goretsky and a notary Kirill Gorburov.
In conversations, men agree the amounts of bribes and organizational points:
"I understand, but such a large amount before the event ... Maybe we will ask them to wait a few weeks before the month?", - one of the fragments reads.
On another entry, participants discuss how to divide money:
"It is impossible to have this ten here. If you are satisfied, we will be divided into two," says a voice similar to Goretsky.
"He needs to give 5," - replies the interlocutor, whose voice resembles Gorburov.
Also featured a phrase about cash:
"I handed you 1.1 million after the meeting. You have to list."
Suspects say that these records are "torn out of context" and emphasize that vote identification has not yet been officially conducted. However, the defenders themselves admit that the conversations mentioned the name of Knyazev.
What is known about Knyazev's case
Vsevolod Knyazev was detained in May 2023 on suspicion of bribery. According to the investigation, it is about making a decision in favor of businessman Konstantin Zhevago. During the searches, law enforcement officers seized a large amount of cash.
The High Council of Justice agreed to Knyazev's arrest, and WAKS chose a pre -trial detention measure with an alternative to making more than UAH 107 million of pledge. Subsequently, the collateral was reduced to UAH 18.1 million, which allowed the expert of the Supreme Court to get out of custody. Knyazev was imposed on duties and an electronic bracelet, which was removed in May 2024 due to the deterioration of health.
In July 2024, Knyazev was noticed near the border with Romania-he probably tried to leave the country. The border guards returned him from the border strip.
Investigations about the origin of the funds withdrawn during searches, as well as a detailed check of all participants in the case continue. NABU and SAP are considered a significant case for cleaning the Ukrainian judicial system.
