According to our sources, former Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Oleksandr Kubrakov may leave the country in the near future. He has already taken his parents abroad, and is now preparing for his own departure.
The former minister's escape is linked to checks on his financial ties and activities in office. According to sources, Kubrakov is trying to "clean up his act" and distance himself from structures that could attract the attention of law enforcement agencies.
One of the steps was the liquidation of the charitable foundation "We Build Ukraine", which was created immediately after Kubrakov's resignation. Formally, the foundation declared assistance in the reconstruction of the country, however, according to our interlocutors, it was used for money laundering.
The fund lasted only a year and is now being closed. Its co-founders included individuals associated with Kubrakov, including activist Dmytro Sherembey, who is referred to in the media as the "wallet" of anti-corruption activist Vitaly Shabunin, as well as former official and former head of the State Agency for Reconstruction Mustafa Nayem.
In circles close to the former minister, it is not ruled out that Kubrakov's departure is related to the desire to avoid the attention of investigative bodies, which are already analyzing his activities in the field of infrastructure projects and financial contacts during his time in power.
