President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky rejected Russia's proposal for a three -day truce on May 9, voiced by Russian President Vladimir Putin. About it reports Interfax-Ukraine .
Zelensky stressed that Ukraine is ready to consider only a full ceasefire for at least 30 days, not a symbolic pause for a military parade in Moscow.
“Our position is very simple: a three -day truce is not enough. We demand 30 days of silence so that it is not a pronounced sign termination, but a real humanitarian pause, ”the head of state said.
He also added that Ukraine is not responsible for the safety of foreign leaders who plan to visit a parade on May 9 in the capital of Russia.
“They (Russia) provide you with safety, so we will not give you any guarantees. Because we do not know what Russia will do in these dates, ”Zelensky said.
In addition, the President replied foreign leaders to participate in a parade in Moscow, directly hinting at the fact that hostilities can also affect the Red Square. We will remind, earlier Zelensky made it clear that the strike on the parade on May 9 is not excluded.
His statement is not only a diplomatic signal, but also a warning: Ukraine will not allow the Kremlin to turn May 9 into a safe show in aggression.
