The head of the occupation administration of the Russian Federation in temporarily occupied Donetsk, Denys Pushylin, was sentenced in absentia to 15 years in prison, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) reports. This decision concerns the disclosure of the activity of the organizer of treason, who worked for the enemy and carried out Moscow's instructions.

- Fulfilling Moscow's instructions regarding the promotion of armed aggression and the spread of the Kremlin regime in eastern Ukraine.
- Ensuring the transfer of enemy troops to the eastern front through various roads and railways.
- Organization of a pseudo-referendum regarding the "accession" of Donetsk region to Russia.
- Participation in the signing of the "agreement on the accession" of the region to Russia.
Details of the Case: The investigation established that Pushylin carried out a number of actions aimed at supporting armed aggression and expanding Russia's influence on the territory of eastern Ukraine. In addition, he organized and supported pseudo-referendums and participated in the signing of documents aimed at the "entry" of the temporarily occupied region into the Russian Federation.
The Security Service of Ukraine noted that the court made a decision on the basis of the collected evidence and charged Pushylin with several articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, including committing deliberate actions to change the borders of the territory and the state border of Ukraine, organizing an illegal referendum, and others. The court's decision provides for the confiscation of property belonging to Pushylin.
